Founder of SoulCollage®
February 15, 1932 – January 13, 2016
Flowering of SoulCollage®
Seena B. Frost, M. Div., M.A. studied theology at Yale Divinity School and was a psychotherapy clinician and supervisor in California for over 30 years. She used healing modalities informed by the work of C. G. Jung, Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, Eric Berne, Roberto Assagioli, and others.
The seeds for the flowering of SoulCollage® were sown in Seena’s final project for a three-year “Human Capacities” program led by Jean Houston from 1987 to 1989. She made collaged cards for everyone in the program and then continued the process with women in her therapy groups and workshops. Over several years of creative gestation, the process we know today as SoulCollage® was born.
“What book?”
In 1998 Kylea Taylor and Jim Schofield attended a workshop in Seena’s home and were so impressed they offered to publish Seena’s book from their publishing company, Hanford Mead Publishers, Inc. Seena famously asked, “What book?” and then, with a wide smile, agreed.
An expanded SoulCollage® Evolving: An Intuitive Collage Process for Self-Discovery and Community was published in 2010 and won a Silver Medal from The Nautilus Book Awards and finalist in the Body, Mind, & Spirit category from Foreword Reviews Book of the Year Award.

Growing an international community
Seena was 71 when she began training SoulCollage® Facilitators to share her method worldwide, and she actively taught for the next ten years. Seena and Kylea Taylor co-designed and co-led the first SoulCollage® Facilitator Training in Santa Cruz, California in September 2003. Many Facilitators traveled to California to meet and train especially with Seena.
Seena loved hearing about all the ways people around the world were using SoulCollage® to change their lives and communities. Watch people from Australia, South Africa, Italy, Holland, Portugal and more in this 30-minute video “SoulCollage® Around the World.” This video premiered at the 5th International SoulCollage® Facilitators’ Conference in October 2013. Created by Kai Mann in Australia in 2013.
Agents of Change
Seena Frost spoke passionately about SoulCollage® and its role in the planetary paradigm shift that so many believe is occurring now. The SoulCollage® motto, Discover Your Wisdom, Change Your World™, means that many who do and share SoulCollage® consider it to be a significant change agent in our world.
Seena believed, “we are witnessing the re-emergence of the archetypal feminine wisdom long underrated in the world but now rising up to balance the heroic and individualistic and logical masculine wisdom. It’s time for both/and , not either/or.”

“I love you all …”
Seena Frost died peacefully at home on the night of January 13, 2016 at age 83 with her family around her. She is loved and missed by the whole SoulCollage® community. Seena has given us all an incredible legacy in SoulCollage®. Through this simple, profound process, thousands of people continue to find their authentic voices and become empowered to contribute confidently whatever gifts they discover within themselves.
