Biography
Born in South Africa, where the sounds of English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa and Yiddish infused my childhood, I have since lived in England, France, the USA and Portugal. I now enjoy going back and forth between England and our family’s home in Cascais, Portugal and facilitate SoulCollage workshops both in the UK and in Portugal.
I have always been passionate about languages, myth, writing and the visual arts. Having spent my twenties in academia teaching and exploring languages and literature, I moved into translating, copywriting, teaching teenagers and developing a personal repertoire of activities to sustain my own creative flow. This led to designing and running Time for You work/playshops where people can renew their sense of wonder and mystery, reconnect with their playfulness and rekindle their creative potential.
Description of SoulCollage® work
Discovering SoulCollage® was like a huge door opening, magnificent, new and yet ancient. I love the way SoulCollage® equips us to give form and substance to our personal search for meaning. I am grateful for this rich opportunity to articulate and to connect the complex fragments of my own life and committed to spreading the sheer fun and exquisite intricacy of SoulCollage® to other people.
I see SoulCollage® above all as a hope-engendering form of celebration, or to quote one of the inspiring poems Seena Frost read us in the facilitator training, to
“Sit. Feast on your life.”
This is an unfamiliar concept to many people today and I believe it can be vastly empowering.
